Our Story
Owner Alisha Thomas was born and raised in the mountains of Western North Carolina. She began arranging her own charcuterie and cheese boards in 2018. After some persuasion from family and friends, an Instagram poll, and a deep desire for a creative outlet, she began taking custom orders in 2022.
The name Betty Bloom’s was inspired by Alisha’s late grandmother, Betty Jane Lambert: Master of feeding a crowd and flower gardening extraordinaire.
Alisha’s Appalachian origins have deeply influenced her. Many of her fondest childhood memories were created around the dinner table. She cherished helping and watching her “Mamaw” prepare for family gatherings. The warmth and care that enveloped each guest within her home is precisely the sentiment we long to recreate for our customers. It’s our passion to help you craft indelible memories, inviting spaces, and enriching conversations, all while savoring unique and delicious ingredients.
Alisha is presently nestled in Bryson City, NC with her husband Phil and their four-legged companion, June Carter. Betty Bloom’s is based in Sylva, NC, but serves all the surrounding WNC counties and beyond.
Betty Bloom’s is temporarily closed.
